Tesla Roadster
We all love our cars, especially cars that go fast – but everywhere you look today there’s some story about the global warming or something relating to how cars are destroying rain forests.
So we’re all being bombarded with electric replacements to our gas-guzzlers but until now they’ve all been slow, short ranged affairs. Well it appears that is about to change with the Tesla Roadster.

Offering 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and going on to a top speed of well over 100mph, this certainly isn’t an electric toy car. On top of that it has a range of around 250 miles and as a result isn’t likely to run out of juice on you whilst you’re cruising along the highway.
All that’s before we get to the looks – in terms of body detail this car looks just like any other sports car you’d be looking to buy but unfortunately the same can’t be said for the price tag which weighs in at a hefty $109,000.
Now that might not seem too much for such a ridiculously fast vehicle which will cost next to nothing to run, but with unreliability still being a factor and the future of electric cars under threat from hydrogen alternatives, the price becomes slightly less inviting.
On balance, I’d say give it a while to let the market settle and the technology to improve before getting your feet wet.
